I am trying out a new slide show feature. As a test, I put up a few pictures of Kaya coloring after her nap – complete with bedhead and serious concentration. Click here to view the brief show.

August 30, 2010Forts on a Rainy Afternoon
August 5, 2010

As far as the kids are concerned, this sofa is good for one thing…playing. With all those pillows the kids have been building tunnels and forts and having a ball. A good way to spend a rainy afternoon (of which there seem to be an endless supply!). Every time I look at the picture of Kaya…I can’t believe how fast time is going by. In a mere month, this little girl will be two. WOW.

July 1, 2010Gardening with Oma
June 7, 2010We are settling into our new home, and had the pleasure of my parents visiting and helping out during our big move. The new house has a nice little garden in the backyard, and the kids set out to add to it with Oma and Opa’s help this week. Kaya was quite enthusiastic…now if she only would stick to the path and not tromp through the flowers! I have a lot to learn about this gardening business…for starters…which things back there are weeds, and which are the things we want to keep!

Who has the bigger mouth: Tanner or the Hippo
May 24, 2010Castlewood Canyon
May 3, 2010Saturday was gorgeous. We headed up to Castlewood Canyon, near Castle Rock to meet up with some friends from Denver and let the kids explore…and explore they did. The boys climbed boulders, came across a few reptiles, wielded sticks, jumped puddles and had a great time. The girls set out to show the boys they could do it all too. I brought the camera along, and gave myself a little challenge…shoot wide, something I don’t tend to do as much. Here are some trip highlights. Thanks to Troy for our family shot, and to my little man for the photos of daddy, Kaya and me.

oldies (well sort of), but goodies
April 30, 2010we visited Virginia a few weeks back, and did lots of fun activities while there. While I should be posting fun images from the air and space, Tanner’s first trip to the circus and our trip downtown to the museum of nature and science…I’ll stick to these two mug shots for now and one of the finer moments – some sibling love.
Catching up on things…
April 27, 2010Between working on getting the new website up, setting up this new blog, selling and buying a house, working on a marketing consulting project and being mom to my two kiddos, blogging has fallen by the wayside. Hopefully with this new setup – and fun things happening all around I’ll get back on track again.
And with that…a sneak peak of what is to come. Tonight Tanner started his soccer camp. He loved it…and I quote “I had too much fun…more fun than one thousand kids.” Kaya on the other hand wasn’t too pleased to be stuck on the sidelines.
